Just a thought. When you've already said "no" to an earlier offer, and you still keep getting an incessant one, these are the times when your patience is already being tested. Down the road, it inspires feelings of animosity and rudeness. Really now, how often do you actually say "no" before you're prone to shout - "Leave me alone!", "You are already being a pest!", "Scram!"
I personally hate that, simply because doing so doesn't make me feel better. Suddenly, you turn into one of the "bad guys" when you know otherwise. Several "no's" actually mean "NO!"
