Buffet Dining in Fihalhohi (Maldives Diaries)

Like specks scattered at the southern edge of the Indian Ocean, Fihalhohi is one of Maldive's 1190 islands. It is classified as a "resort island", thus is autonomous in its governance. Located in the South Male Atoll (one of the 26 atolls), there's good food to be had here.

For day trippers, you may opt for an entrance with lunch buffet or the entrance-only rate. Considering how affordable it is, it's almost silly not to get the lunch-inclusive rate. In fact, I chanced on a European-Pinay couple who chose not to have lunch at the restaurant. While we were dining, they just slept under the shade. Maybe they brought food with them? I don't know. Otherwise, there are several other bars all over the island (Fisherman's Bar, Blue Lagoon Bar, Surf Cafe) where one could order food and drinks. The buffet rate is clearly a good deal.

Buffet meal is served at the Palm Groove Restaurant. It includes one order of complimentary drink (juice, soda, water). Food is served between 11:30 AM and 1 PM, Fihalhohi time. They also have an assortment of salads and fruit preparations, as well as desserts.

This is the Eye in the Sky!
